Dielectric Fluids



Alpha-1 Fluid: The only dielectric fluid made specifically for retrofilling transformers. Use it to replace or top up mineral oil, PCB, vegetable oils, and other fluids.  Used worldwide since 1992.  Made from synthetic hydrocarbons, Alpha-1 Fluid is thinner than other oils, which means better cooling for your equipment.  Outstanding high temperature protection and oxidation resistance.  Biodegradable.  Pours down to -55 C ! FM Listed.  Use it on your next retrofill application!

Beta Fluid: The Industry Standard for Fire Resistant Petroleum Oils. Less expensive than other oils.  Used in tens of thousands of transformers since 1994.  Excellent chemical and  electrical properties.   UL Classified* and FM Listed for use indoors per the U.S. National Electrical Code.  Compatible with mineral oil.

Transformer Oil Additives

DSI Sulfur Inhibitor:  Stops corrosive sulfur in its tracks!  Treats metal surfaces to prevent reactions with sulfur.  Ties up sulfur to prevent its corrosive effects.  Adds powerful oxidation inhibitors to stabilize oils.  Puts an end to the effects of corrosive sulfur immediately!  Add it in the field or at your shop.  Available in 5 and 55 gallon containers.

DSI Inhibit A concentrated mixture of advanced oxidation inhibitors and fire resistant oils.  You can add it in the field to a de-energized transformer; no mixing required.  This will save you a fortune in labor costs!

Specialty Dielectric Oils

 

Alpha-2 Fluid
For cooling electronic equipment, and for very low or very high temps.  Pours down to -65 C.  Used as polling fluid for ceramics manufacturing.  Used to cool circuit boards, high voltage RF transmission equipment.  Synthetic hydrocarbon base oils have excellent electrical characteristics and compatibility with commonly used materials.

OptiCool Fluid
Our lowest viscosity oil, has excellent heat transfer characteristics.  For use in applications where superior heat transfer and low viscosity are needed.  Clean and stable synthetic base oils have high dielectric strength and very low toxicity.  More than 97% biodegradable in standard laboratory tests.
